The E. Fleming Mason Memorial Internship Program was created to provide deserving undergraduates with the desire to become better educated and informed on both the public and private sectors of our national government. In addition, this program will give undergraduates the opportunity to gain professional work experience while living in the Washington, D.C. area. The E. Fleming Mason Memorial Internship Program provides a once in a lifetime opportunity to any interested Kappa Alpha Order undergraduate. The internship, living and working in Washington, D.C., and interacting with other interns from across the country, provides an everlasting experience.

2011 Intern – Brook Sebren (Gamma Nu – Louisiana-Monroe ’09)
“From learning the basics of political fundraising and working along-side the president of the company to meeting various politicians and simply living in DC, my summer was filled with once in a lifetime opportunities. On just my second day on the job, my boss flew me with her to New Hampshire to watch first-hand Governor Mitt Romney’s announcement of his presidential candidacy, seeing history in the making. I worked on a presidential campaign, which is highly sought after by many Hill staffers. I lived with four great guys who I never met and because of our bond we became immediate friends. I grew up in Northeast Louisiana, and there isn’t much diversity. This internship placed me in the middle of a culturally diverse environment, which made me look at life much differently.”
