The Emerging Leaders Academy is set to take place July 28-31. The Academy will begin 5:00 p.m. EDT. All flights need to arrive to the Roanoke Regional Airport no later than 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 28. For those that are driving, please arrive no later than 4:00 p.m. EDT.

Stewards of the Order (Saturday, August 1st from 1 PM - 7PM)

The Emerging Leaders Academy will end at 12 PM and the Stewards of the Order program will begin at 1 PM. The Stewards of the Order registration fee is $150. However, ELA participants can register for a $25 special discounted registration fee. Visit the Stewards of the Order information posted on the Kappa Alpha Order website for further information.

Registration Fees

The early registration fee is $250 which is due no later than July 15, 2010. The registration fee pays for lodging, meals, and the conference. Checks are to be mailed directly to the Kappa Alpha Order National Administrative Office and credit cards are accepted over the phone.

The number of attendees is unlimited as we will take late registrations up to the opening of the Academy.

Any cancellation must be received in writing to the National Administrative Office by
Wednesday, July 21, 2010. No full registration refunds will be issued after this date.

Expectation Agreement

I understand that The Emerging Leaders Academy is alcohol-free, and I agree to not bring, use, or consume alcohol during the program's entirety. I further agree to participate in all activities and remain on the host campus for the duration of the conference. I also understand that violations of these expectations will result in my immediate dismissal from the host property at my own expense.

Transportation Policy:

If you decide to stay for the Stewards of the Order program, lodging will be provided and transportation will be provided for those departing on Sunday, August 1st no earlier than 8 AM. If you decide to not attend the Stewards of the Order program, transportation to the airport will be provided on Saturday at 1:00 PM. Please note that there are only two departure times from the campus of Washington & Lee University to the Roanoke Airport (Saturday at 1 PM and Sunday at 8 AM). Please plan accordingly when purchasing your plane ticket. If you disregard the travel times, you will have to arrange travel with a taxi service.

I understand that if I am flying, I need to submit my travel itinerary at least 21 days prior to July 30. I also understand that at the conclusion of the conference, travel to the airport will only be provided on Saturday, August 1 at 1:00 PM and Sunday, August 2 at 8 AM. If I am driving, I understand that I will arrive on Thursday, no later than 1 PM.
