Brent joined the Kappa Alpha Order National Administrative Office in 2000 as an Educational and Leadership Consultant and had an unbelievable experience traveling The Order with six other consultants. He was promoted to Director of Educational Programming in 2002 where he assisted with the implementation of Crusade RoundTable and Crusade Program. He has also implemented the Number I’s Leadership Institute, Enhanced Province Councils, Emerging Leaders Academy and Stewards of the Order. Additional duties consist of overseeing GreekLifeEdu (alcohol, sexual assault and hazing online course), Kappa Alpha Order’s National Scholarship Program, Project Outreach (service hours, philanthropy events, and most notably our national philanthropy MDA), and other leadership educational initiatives. During his time on staff, Brent has personally visited close to 100 chapters in The Order. Brent is a member of the Ammen, Candler, Crawford, Hamilton, and Wood Courts of Honor. He is also Loyal Order member and began participating with ForeverKA in 2011. Professionally, he is a member of the Fraternity Executives Association (FEA) where he recently received his 10 Year Member Award.
Brent was born and raised in Paducah, Kentucky where he graduated from Heath High School. He then graduated from Western Kentucky University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies with an emphasis in secondary education. Brent was initiated by Epsilon Theta Chapter and had an incredible life changing experience as an active member. Brent owes his chapter brothers for creating that experience and all of their influence of our initiatory observances that inspired him to work for his beloved fraternity.
Currently, Brent resides in Buena Vista, Virginia (located 6 miles from Lexington) with his wife, Lisa, and two children, Holden (13) and Lauren (6). Brent’s family are members of Lexington Baptist Church. In his free time he enjoys other fraternal experiences with freemasonry (Mountain City Lodge, Rockbridge Chapter and Commandery) and is a special initiate of the Lexington DeMolay Chapter and recent inductee of the Virginia DeMolay Legion of Honor.
