Kappa Alpha Order is dedicated and committed to providing several leadership development opportunities throughout the year for our undergraduates. Our programs focus on leadership development, ethics & values, integrity, chapter operational training, academic achievement, service learning, and core components of the ritual.
Number I's Leadership Institute (NLI) is scheduled to take place January 6-9, 2011 at the Caraway Conference Center right outside of Greensboro, North Carolina. NLI provides incoming Number I's leadership development training, resources and direction to best lead their active chapter.
Province Councils - Every spring, regional meetings across the country take place to educate our members, elect Province Commanders and Province Undergraduate Chairmen, and to discuss the business of each province. One-third of our undergraduate members participate in this training covering leadership, risk management, recruitment, The Crusade, chapter finance training, ritual, scholarship, member education, and personal development. KA Law 7-215 states that all nine officers are required to attend unless excused by the Province Commander. It is also a Crusade Guideline for the Crusade Commander to attend.

The Emerging Leaders Academy scheduled to take place July 13-16, 2001 in Lexington, Virginia on campus at Washington & Lee University. The Academy provides our future leaders the opportunity to increase their knowledge base about basic chapter operations, leadership, and how to implement a positive change in their chapter.

The Stewards of the Order is an interactive ritual based workshop that focuses on the symbolism and philosophy of the ritual, production of the initiation ceremony, and origins of our fraternity. One of the highlights is a ritual proficiency exam open to anyone interested in becoming an official “Steward” of Kappa Alpha Order. The ritual based workshop will take place Saturday, July 16, 2011.
