Kappa Alpha Order is dedicated and committed to providing several leadership development opportunities throughout the year for our undergraduates.  Our programs focus on leadership development, ethics & values, integrity, chapter operational training, academic achievement, service learning, and core components of the ritual.

The Crusade RoundTable, The Emerging Leaders Academy, and The Stewards of the Order are set to take place this summer in Lexington, Virginia!  We have a unique summer as Kappa Alpha Order is offering three programs at the end of July and first of August.  Please click on the programs listed to the left for more information.

The Crusade RoundTable (July 30 - August 2) A unique aspect of The Crusade is The RoundTable experience, which is an intensive educational immersion into the Crusade program.  Held in Lexington, Virginia, the four-day program is designed to educate and motivate the 'Crusade Commanders', undergraduate brothers who are responsible foroverseeing and ensuring the success of the program in their chapter.

The Emerging Leaders Academy (July 31 - August 2) takes place in Lexington, Virginia on campus at Washington & Lee University.  The Academy provides our future leaders the opportunity to increase their knowledge base about basic chapter operations, leadership, and how to implement a positive change in their chapter.

The Stewards of the Order (August 2) is an interactive ritual based workshop set to take place August 2nd in Lexington, Virginia at the Mountain City Masonic Lodge #67 from 1 PM - 7 PM.

Number I's Leadership Institute (NLI) is scheduled to take place January 9-11, 2009 at the Caraway Conference Center right outside of Greensboro, North Carolina.  NLI provides incoming Number I's leadership development training, resources and direction to best lead their active chapter.

Province Councils - Every spring, regional meetings across the country take place to educate our members, elect Province Commanders and Province Undergraduate Chairmen, and to discuss the business of each province.  One-third of our undergraduate members participate in this training covering leadership, risk management, recruitment, The Crusade, chapter finance training, ritual, scholarship, member education, and personal development.  KA Law 7-215 states that all nine officers are required to attend unless excused by the Province Commander.  It is also a Crusade Guideline for the Crusade Commander to attend.

The Crusade is Kappa Alpha Order's total membership development program built to provide undergraduates with educational opportunities throughout their college experience. Based on the Order's customs, The Crusade emphasizes academic excellence, values and ethics, community service, team building and leadership that are beneficial to the active member during his undergraduate years, but also throughout life.
