Stewards of the Order is an interactive ritual based workshop that will take place Saturday, August 2, 2008 in Lexington, Virginia at Mountain City Lodge #67. The six hour workshop focuses on the symbolism and philosophy of the ritual, production of the initiation ceremony, and origins of our fraternity. At the end of the workshop, a ritual proficiency exam will be offered to anyone interested in becoming an official “Steward” of Kappa Alpha Order.
Russell Brown, Councilor and Ritualist of the Order, developed the program with the intent of standardizing the education on the customs of the Order for our undergraduates and alumni. The program reinforces the correct procedures and standards for the customs of the Order.

Any interested initiated member of Kappa Alpha Order!
Active brothers: This is a great opportunity to prepare your chapter for fall initiations and to become well educated about Kappa Alpha Order.
Alumni: Interested in assisting our active chapters with initiation? This is a great opportunity for all alumni to learn more about the ritual and to reaffirm our commitments to Kappa Alpha Order.
Registration fee is $150
The Stewards of the Order registration fee is $150. Participants will receive, upon completion of the oral exam, a certificate, lapel pin, wallet card, and a dinner will be served at Mulberry Hill concluding the evening. Emerging Leaders Academy participants can attend for a special discounted rate of $25 since they will have paid the $250 ELA registration fee.
Checks are to be mailed directly to the Kappa Alpha Order National Administrative Office and credit cards will be accepted over the phone. The number of attendees is unlimited as we will take registration payments up to the opening of the workshop on Saturday, August 2. Pre-conference information and confirmation will be sent to everyone upon receipt of registration. Please register as early as possible to allow time to receive this information.
