David M. Warren

36th Knight Commander

Tau–Wake Forest ’78

Former Knight Commander David M. Warren was initiated by Tau Chapter at Wake Forest University in 1978.  While a member of Tau he served  as Number III and Rush Chairman.  A long time advisor to Tau Chapter he also served the Order as Deputy Chief Alumnus and as Commander of the Ed Chambers Smith Province from 1985 until 1991.   Former Knight Commander Warren was elected the Executive Council in 1995 and named as Senior Councilor in 1997. Elected as the Order’s 36th Knight Commander in 2001, Warren  served until 2003.  Concerned with improving the relationship between the Order and the Kappa Alpha Order Educational Foundation, Former Knight Commander Warren reorganized the structure of the KAOEF and consolidated the administrative duties of both organizations.  Operation Crimson Gift, an Order-wide blood drive was established during his term.  Professionally, Former Knight Commander Warren is a specialist in business and consumer bankruptcy law and resides in Raleigh, North Carolina.  He also serves as a trustee of the Kappa Alpha Order Educational Foundation.
