Province Commander Wall Named CLE Volunteer of the Year
Robert H. Wall (Tau – Wake Forest ’95), Commander of Smith Province, of Winston-Salem has been named CLE Volunteer of the Year by the NCBA Foundation’s Continuing Legal Education Committee. He practices with Spilman Thomas & Battle where his primary areas of practice are tax and corporate law.
Wall has been a tireless and dedicated volunteer with the Tax Section and the Estate Planning & Fiduciary Law Section. He is in his third year as a planner for the NC/SC/GA Tax Section Workshop and has spoken numerous times for both sections. In the past year, as a co-planner, he developed two new CLE programs that can be added to the CLE Department’s repository of offerings to be presented semi-annually or annually.
“I actually got involved on the CLE side of things with the Tax Section,” Wall said. “I spoke with the leaders of the section and told them I would be happy to help however I could. I enjoy doing it because I get to work with and meet with lawyers not only in this state, but all over the country.”
Wall is also a member of the Forsyth County Bar Association. Within the NCBA, he has served as chair of the Tax Section’s CLE Committee, as well as chairing the Planned Giving Committee for the North Carolina Bar Association Foundation, and as a member of the Foundation’s Development Committee.
