Loss of Brother Ronnei from Arizona State
Kappa Alpha Order is saddened to report the loss of an undergraduate brother. Lucas David “Luke” Ronnei (Epsilon Omega – Arizona State) passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2016.
According to the Epsilon Omega Chapter, “Luke was one of the most compassionate, energetic, and caring individuals we have ever come across, and it is truly an honor for each and every member of our chapter to call him our brother. Luke’s best attribute was his smile, and the way that his presence in any given situation immediately brightened the day of each and every person around him. Words truly cannot describe the impact he has had on our lives and he has made each and every one of us a better person due to his presence in our lives. Luke embodied every aspect of KA, and his love of life and true desire to benefit the lives of those around him helped our chapter tremendously in becoming the chapter that we are so proud of today. Luke’s struggle with addiction was something that plagued his recent years, but it did not define who he was or what he could offer for this world. If you know anyone going through a similar situation, do not be afraid to reach out and help before it is too late. Luke will be remember by each and every one of us until the day we reunite with him, and we will learn from this experience to live our lives in the manner that Luke pushed so hard for to live. We love you Luke Ronnei, and our sincere prayers and blessings go out to his family and each individual who had the privilege of calling Luke their friend. Rest easy Luke.”
A Celebration of Life was held for Luke on Tuesday, January 12 at St. Victoria’s Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to The Ronnei Memorial Fund in Memory of Luke at Beacon Bank to support causes that Luke was passionate about.
