Mississippi Blood Services Recognizes Delta State Kappa Alpha Order

Delta State Blood Award

Taylor Whatley, President of Delta Beta Chapter; David Allen, MBS President and CEO; and Jordan Hartz, member of Delta Beta Chapter

The Delta Beta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Order was recognized by the Mississippi Blood Services (MBS) as the 2015 Fraternity of the Year during the MBS Annual Meeting. This recognition is to honor those who go that extra mile throughout the year to increase the units collected and ensure their communities have the blood that is needed.

Mississippi Blood Services relies heavily on college and university fraternities and sororities to make college blood drives a success. The Delta Beta Chapter was instrumental at Delta State University (DSU) to help raise awareness for the need for blood and to help get the student body involved in this valuable community service. KA inspires this school to get out and give!

Mississippi Blood Services was founded in 1979. Mississippi Blood Services is the only not-for-profit blood center headquartered in Mississippi. MBS supplies a safe and adequate supply of blood and blood products to Mississippi hospitals from the Tennessee line to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Mississippi Blood Services is Mississippi’s blood service.
