2016 KAOEF Bid for Brotherhood Recap
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma played host to the 19th Annual Bid for Brotherhood (B4B) on Friday, July 29, 2016. Held at V2 atop the Devon Tower, more than 100 active and alumni brothers and their guests enjoyed food, fun, and fellowship while taking in spectacular views of Oklahoma City. The generosity of these attendees, and online bidders from all over the country, helped to raise nearly $53,000 for the Kappa Alpha Order Educational Foundation (KAOEF).
The last available Commemorative Uberti/Winchester 1873 rifle, commissioned for the Sesquicentennial, and tickets to Super Bowl LI in Houston highlighted a wide variety of items available for bid as part of both the live and silent auctions. Other items included several vacation packages, tickets for sporting events, KA apparel and accessories, and even a signed pair of shoes worn by NBA star Chris Paul during his 2005-2006 Rookie of the Year season.
Since 1998, more than $840,000 has been raised through B4B. These funds support leadership education programs and scholarships for our undergraduate brothers.
Mark your calendars for the 20th Annual Bid for Brotherhood, to be held in St. Louis, Missouri on Friday, July 28 2017, in conjunction with the 77th Convention.
