Arkansas KAs Climb Stairs to Honor 9/11 Victims

alpha-omicron-stair-climb-9-11-16On the morning of the fifteenth anniversary of the September 11th attacks, twelve members of the Alpha Omicron Chapter of Kappa Alpha Order at the University of Arkansas climbed stairs in honor of the victims of 9/11. The KA brothers joined the ROTC, who planned the event, the UA Police Department, and other members of the community in climbing 2,310 steps of Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium, the same number of steps that were in the Twin Towers.

“As a member of the ROTC program for the past 4 years, I have been motivated by past heroes to serve our country,” KA new member Clayton Bridger mentioned. “I’ve felt that if I followed in some of their footsteps that I could repay those who have fallen in order to give us the freedoms we have today. I wanted to spread my support of the firefighters and police who lost their lives in 9/11.”
