Loss of Active Brother at William and Mary
On Saturday, October 15, 2016, the Alpha Zeta chapter at the College of William and Mary lost one of their members, Tiancheng “Austin” Zheng ’15. Initial reports indicate the cause of death was cardiac arrest.
A native of Suzhou, China, Austin was a Dean’s List student studying Art History and Neuroscience, hoping to one day earn his Ph. D in Neuroscience. An avid cobbler and fashion guru, Austin’s passions were as diverse and interesting as himself. He was loved by his KA brothers and all who knew him.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Zheng family as they travel to the United States and though this time of grief. National Chaplain Dawin P. Knight (Delta Kappa–Stephen F. Austin State ’04) wrote the following prayer for the brothers of Alpha Zeta Chapter and all those who loved Tiancheng Austin Zheng.
Dear Lord, we come to you with heavy hearts and many questions. Speak to our needs and to the needs of the family members of Tiancheng Austin Zheng. Help us to draw strength in our togetherness and Your Name. Guide our thoughts, strengthen us and give us Grace in the days ahead. Our hearts are broken, thank you for being near to us right now and in the days to come. In our Creator’s name we pray, Amen.
