KAOEF Home Run: Auction Event Raises $88,000 for Scholarships, Internships & Leadership Education
The Kappa Alpha Order Educational Foundation (KAOEF) hosted its 20th annual Bid for Brotherhood (B4B) auction on Friday, August 4, 2017, at Busch Stadium during the Kappa Alpha Order’s 77th Convention & Brotherhood Weekend in St. Louis, Missouri.
Through and live and silent auctions, reverse bingo raffle, and a fund of need solicitation, the KAOEF was able to raise more than $88,000 for the Kappa Alpha Order Educational Foundation. These funds will help to ensure that KA’s strong leadership education and values-based training opportunities will continue at little or no cost to our deserving young men!
Attendees not only helped to make a difference for future KAs, but they also had a fantastic time! MLB great Ozzie Smith made a special appearance for photos and autographs. Batting practice, tours of the stadium, and photos on the field were also made available.
Be on the lookout for an email save the date for the next B4B in the summer of 2018!
