Chapter Chartering

Chartering of Zeta Omega Chapter at Coastal Carolina University

On Saturday, November 18, 2017, at the Wild Wing Plantation in Conway, South Carolina, Knight Commander Darren S. Kay (Alpha Eta–Westminster ’88) issued the Zeta Omega Charter to the gentlemen of the Coastal Carolina University Provisional Chapter. The ceremony and banquet was well attended by area alumni and parents.

The Coastal Carolina University Provisional Chapter received its provisional certificate in October of  2016, and since then the chapter has grown to 54 members and achieved a 3.08 GPA.

The chapter is involved on campus and members actively participate in fraternity and sorority philanthropy and community service events. The members of the chapter are highly involved on campus and hold leadership roles within organizations such as Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity, Coastal Carolina Conservatives, and College Republicans. Members are also actively involved in the Baseball, Rugby, & Lacrosse Sports Clubs, the National Society of Leadership & Success, and the Financial Manager Association. All members are actively involved in at least one student organization outside of KA.

Members of the Coastal Carolina University Provisional Chapter were initiated into Kappa Alpha Order on Sunday, November 4th at the Conway Masonic Lodge No. 65 by actives and alumni of the Delta Tau Chapter at Francis Marion University.
