Schumpert Promoted to Director of College and University Relations
Carl O. Schumpert (Beta Gamma–Charleston ’10) has been promoted to the new position of Director of College & University Relations for the Order, effective June 1, 2018.
In this role, his primary responsibilities will be to manage the expansion and recolonization strategy for the Order. Carl will develop expansion opportunities by visiting prospective campuses and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders including higher education administrators, alumni and undergraduates. Carl brings significant marketing and sales experience to this new role from his previous work and internship experiences. We look forward to his work in this capacity.
A native of Saluda, South Carolina, Carl has most recently served the Order in 2017 and 2018 as an Associate Director for Chapter Development, restarting the Gamma Beta Chapter at Missouri State University and Epsilon Chapter at Emory University. Carl is a 2010 initiate of the Beta Gamma Chapter at the College of Charleston where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and hospitality and tourism management. Carl went on to earn his Master of Business Administration from Clemson University in 2016. In May of 2017, Carl was hired by Kappa Alpha Order as an Associate Director for Chapter Development where he helped to recruit and establish provisional chapters at Emory University (Epsilon Chapter) and Missouri State University (Gamma Beta Chapter).
