ASU KA Serves as Millennium Fellow
Nathan Alexander Tom (Epsilon Omega–Arizona State ’16) was recently announced as a Millennium Fellow for the class of 2018. As a Millennium Fellow, Nathan will serve low-income students at Arizona State University by organizing and providing food for them. Through the Culinary Collective Project at ASU, fellows hope to understand how citizens across the world deal with food insecurity. The team Nathan is a part of strives to conduct research on a localized level and then be able to administer it at a bigger level in order to help food insecurity worldwide.
Nathan Tom is a rising senior at the Honors College at Arizona University, named Barrett. His studies range from supply chain management to sustainability and even to international business. Despite his hard work in the classroom, Nathan serves as co-founder of the entire Culinary Collect Project. His goal in life is “to create the next global standard for corporate social responsibility”. Nathan says that this idea and lifetime goal popped in his head when he traveled as part of a United States soccer team to Serbia and went into poor communities and saw how polluted their water supply was.
Nathan states, “As global citizens, I believe we are the generation to impact the change we wish to see in the world, and I am privileged to be in the company of other young leaders finding local solutions to global issues.”
