South Carolina Chapter Serves Camp for Disabilities

On April 7, 2019, Camp Cole hosted its first annual Happy Campers Food Truck Festival. The festival promoted the camp and featured the presence of several different local Columbia, South Carolina food and retail vendors. Camp Cole is Rho Chapter’s official philanthropy, as the chapter has raised over $83,000 during the past three years with its annual ‘Dancing With the KAs’ Event. Rho Chapter was honored to serve as one of many local sponsors for the Food Truck Festival, and also had many of its members help set up and take down the event.

“It was truly special to see the good works of our philanthropy, Camp Cole, in action and to be able to lend a helping hand for the event.

“It was truly special to see the good works of our philanthropy, Camp Cole, in action and to be able to lend a helping hand for the event. We are honored to be able to work with such an incredible cause amongst the Columbia community, and it is really cool to see some of our members like Corbin Cleaves (’15) so passionate about the camp.” Number I Jack Fallon ’16 said.

“Our goal is to help raise enough money to help get Camp Cole off the ground and ready for campers who have disabilities, illnesses, or other life challenges.”

“Camp Cole is an organization here in Columbia that has a special place in many of our member’s hearts,” Cleaves said. “Our goal is to help raise enough money to help get Camp Cole off the ground and ready for campers who have disabilities, illnesses, or other life challenges. Camp Cole will be the first ACA and ADA campsite here in Columbia. They will also have a state of the art medical facility on site to help with all campers. We are glad to be able to work with such a great organization and it’s awesome to see the community come together to help support this great cause.”
