2019 Candler Court of Honor & Bluegrass Alumni Chapter Lunch at Keeneland

The John S. Candler Province Court of Honor held their annual induction ceremony in coordination with the Bluegrass Alumni Chapter on Friday, April 26, 2019, at the Keeneland Sales Pavilion in Lexington, Kentucky. Nearly forty brothers and friends gathered to celebrate our beloved Kappa Alpha Order and those distinguished alumni who have given their time, energy and service to KA. Candler Province Commander Collin B. Taylor (Delta Mu–Eastern Kentucky ’96) gave an update on the Province, Dr. James M. Schmuck (Alpha Eta–Westminster ’69), a member of KA’s Executive Council, gave the State of the Order, and Kentucky Sportscaster David W. “Buzz” Baker (Beta Delta–Georgetown ’79) spoke on the importance of being a Moral Compass for the Modern Gentlemen.

The following men were recognized and invested with the provincial cross of honor in recognition of their outstanding service to the Order and accomplishments which have brought honor to Kappa Alpha Order.

  • Gregory R. Singleton (Gamma Gamma–Memphis ’82)
  • Dr. James M. Schmuck (Alpha Eta–Westminster ’69)
