Chapter Update – Murray State Provisional – Fall 2019

The provisional chapter at Murray State University has had a good semester so far. Many of our members take part in organizations outside of Kappa Alpha, some of them being; MSU Racer Band, church groups, Intermural sports, and school-sponsored clubs. Brandon Loredo our Number V is the section leader for the Cymbal Line in the MSU Racer Band and Harrison Kelly our Number IX oversees our CFSB center. Our first Fall Recruitment went very well, we gave bids and inducted 5 new members for the Fall. There are many programs that Murray State offers for Greek life on campus, some of them are; intramurals, Tent-City, Homecoming Weekend, and Safety Training. Our latest events have been Homecoming Weekend/Tent-City where organizations have their tent in Roy Stewart Stadium and it’s a giant tailgate. The Alumni came out to participate and we also had events during that weekend like a cookout and a wine tasting. We just had our first Formal as a chapter in Pigeon Forge, TN which was a good time and allowed the men to bond and become closer. The Chapter plans on hosting events on campus to raise money for the campus and volunteering to help out the community.
