Sullivan Leading Eastern Kentucky Advisory
LTC Robert M. “Bob” Sullivan (Delta Mu–Eastern Kentucky ’70) serves on Eastern Kentucky University’s (EKU) International Alumni Board. Bob serves as the chair of the Alumni Awards & Recognition Committee and is the ROTC Representative on the Alumni Board.
Bob graduated from EKU in 1972 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation and Park Administration and earned his commission in the U.S. Army through the EKU Military Science program. He was deployed to Operation Desert Shield 1990, and then a year later to Operation Desert Storm. Bob served as ground coordinator for the Arab Joint Task Force and was decorated for combat operations in Saudi Arabia and Iraq/Kuwait during the liberation of Kuwait.
A decorated veteran, Bob retired from the U.S. Army after twenty years of service and began a second career in Procurement & Contract Management with BAE Weapon Systems and Raytheon Missile Systems.
In 2007, EKU’s Department of Military Science and Leadership selected Bob as their departmental distinguished alumnus.
Bob resides in Louisville, Kentucky, and remains involved in the Order as a member of the Bluegrass Alumni Chapter and the Military Division, and has been inducted into the Candler Province Court of Honor.
