Westminster Celebrates Advisor’s Continued Involvement and 50 Years of Membership

The Alpha Eta Chapter at Westminster College recently recognized brother Al Jenkins (Alpha Eta–Westminster ’66) for his more than fifty years of membership and commitment to the Chapter and the Order.

“Al has been a member of the Housing Corporation for decades, but his involvement goes much further than that,” Thad Stubbs (Alpha Eta–Westminster ’96) commented. “Al helps monitor the finances of the Chapter and attends several chapter meetings each year. Each summer he renovates and readies the house for the following semester, which he has been doing for many years. His construction company was even instrumental in the gut rehab of the chapter house in 1981 along with his father, a carpenter, who worked with him to finish the project. He has been an integral part of Alpha Eta’s success for many, many years.”

The entire chapter attended the cookout at the house organized by cook Ed Long, and area alumni joined to celebrate Al including Jim ’69 and Judy Schmuck, Thad Stubbs ’96, David Neihart ’80, and Dr. George Parkins ’60.
