Centenary Leads on Campus as Student-Athletes
The committee, comprised of five student-athletes, has a focused purpose, “to provide all Centenary student-athletes with an opportunity to present their perspective to the leadership of the school,” according to Centenary’s website. In addition, gives response to proposed NCAA or Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference legislation and communication and networking.
In addition to serving as the Number II of the Alpha Iota Chapter, Sami is serving as the president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, with Cole serving as co-Vice President.
“As president of SAAC, I want to represent my peers as best as possible, ensuring that the needs of Centenary’s student athletes are heard by our athletic department, and that we can continue to have a great relationship with professors and administrators on campus,” said Sami.
From Lafayette, Louisiana, Sami is a junior majoring in biology and is the goalkeeper for the men’s soccer team.
From Flower Mound, Texas, Cole is a junior majoring in international business and is a defender for the men’s soccer team.
