Richerson to Lead PGA of American President
On Thursday, October 29, 2020, Jim Richerson (Alpha Delta–William Jewell ’86) was sworn in as president of the PGA of America during its 104th annual meeting held virtually. As the 42nd president, Jim will serve a two-year term.
“I’m very humbled and honored to be elected as the Association’s next president,” Jim said. “My focus will be to better engage our members and work with our 41 PGA sections to ensure that PGA professionals have the tools and resources needed to continue leading this great game – every day and in every way.”
A 32-year golf industry veteran, Jim is the Senior Vice President of Operations for Troon, the industry leader in golf course management, development, and marketing. As part of the PGA membership since 1995, Jim has won several awards including the 2013 and 2016 Wisconsin PGA Golf Professional of the Year.
He and his wife, Kristi, are proud parents of a daughter, Marie-Claire.
