King V. Aiken, Jr.

Awarded: Knight Commander’s Accolade – March 8, 2018

King was initiated in 1983 by the Kappa Chapter at Mercer University. As an undergraduate, he served Kappa Chapter as the Number I.

After graduating from Mercer in 1987, King began his career in franchise operations, working for Chick-fil-A, Krystal, and most recently Schlotzky’s as the Regional Vice President of Franchise Operations. Currently, King is the Director of Franchise Operations for Huddle House Inc., and has been recognized twice with the Eagle Award which honors outstanding team members at corporate headquarters, Distribution Center, and leaders in the field.

King has served the Order as President of the Thomasville, Georgia Alumni Chapter. Twice, he has served as Commander of the John L. Hardeman Province; first from 1995 to 1998 and then from 2006 to 2008. He was then appointed by the Advisory Council to the Executive Council in 2008 and has been re-elected by the Convention to the Council to the present.

King has been inducted into the Hardeman and Smith Province Courts of Honor. He is a member of the Loyal Order, a Forever KA participant, and a member of the KAOEF’s Crimson & Gold Society since 2014.

King currently lives in Carrolton, Georgia, with his wife, Ellen, and has four step-children, Sara Ellen, Sam, Andrew, and Lily. He also serves as a member of the Vestry for Saint James’ Episcopal Church located in Cedartown, Georgia.
