Dreyer \nRegister by March 1\n$55 per person\nCoat and Tie Required\nReception at 6 p.m \nREGISTER \n\n\nHISTORY\nThe Argyle began in 1854 as the headquarters of a vast ranch stretching from downtown San Antonio to Boerne\, later serving as a place of hospitality that welcomed guests such as Robert E. Lee and even functioned as an arsenal during the Civil War. In 1884\, two Scots purchased the property\, added a third floor\, and named it “Argyle” after the hills that reminded them of their homeland. At the turn of the century\, Miss Alice O’Grady transformed it into a renowned dining destination. Restored in 1956\, The Argyle has since become a unique private club dedicated to supporting the Texas Biomedical Research Institute\, serving as a gathering place where members and benefactors help advance vital medical research. Prohibited attire includes denim of any form\, jeans of any color\, leggings\, tights\, rompers\, shorts\, collarless shirts\, golf shirts\, t-shirts\, athletic attire or footwear\, tennis shoes\, designer sneakers\, flip flops\, or men’s sandals.
