The Kappa Alpha Order Internship Program was created to provide deserving undergraduates with the desire to become better educated and informed on both the public and private sectors of our national government. In addition, this program will give undergraduates the opportunity to gain professional work experience while living in Washington, D.C., Dallas, Texas, or Atlanta, Georgia. The Program provides a once in a lifetime opportunity to any interested Kappa Alpha Order undergraduate to interact with other interns from across the country. Chris Logsdon (Iota–Furman ’19)
Chris is a native of Houston, Texas, and a Junior at Furman University, with a focus of study in Mathematics-Economics. Along with being the Iota chapter’s current Number VI, he is involved in Furman’s University Investment Club, volunteer program, and was named to the 2020 Spring Dean’s List. After college, he plans to either pursue a career in finance or obtain a Master of Science in Finance.

Tripp Knight (Gamma Gamma–Memphis ’16)
A rising senior from Memphis, Tennessee, Tripp is currently pursuing a degree in healthcare administration at the University of Memphis. He has served the Gamma Gamma Chapter as Number V, Number VI, Number VII, and Number VIII, and two terms as Number I, and has previously served the Order as the 2019 National Undergraduate Vice-Chairman and currently as the 2020 National Undergraduate Chairman. He represented the University of Memphis as the IFC President and at the 2019 Association of Fraternal Leadership & Values (AFLV) Central Conference in Indianapolis.

Grayson McCarley (Gamma Chi–Texas Tech ’17)
Grayson is from Bellaire Texas. He is currently a senior at Texas Tech University studying Marketing and Information Technology with a concentration in business analysis. He plans on graduating in May 2021. As a member of the Gamma Chi chapter, he served on the chapter’s executive board as Number IX and has helped as a social chairman and with Rose Ball. He currently holds a position on Texas Tech’s IFC Executive Board as the VP of Judicial Affairs. When he graduates, Grayson hopes to pursue sales in either the technology field, pharmaceuticals, or with manufacturing.

Myers Dean (Alpha Omega–North Carolina State ’17)
Myers is a senior from Wilmington, North Carolina,and is majoring in Political Science with minors in History and English at NC State. As a member of KA, he has served as Number II and Number V and also was an IFC delegate for his chapter. After graduation Myers hopes to attend law school and pursue a career in criminal defense and eventually run for political office.

Jeremy Slemmons (Alpha Omicron–Arkansas ’17)
Jeremy is from Fort Worth, Texas, and is currently a senior at the University of Arkansas where he is majoring in both Communications and Political Science. Jeremy was the recipient of the New Arkansan Non-Resident Tuition Award and has maintained his scholarship throughout his three years. In addition, Jeremy earned two Dean’s List selections as well as receiving honors from the Department of Political Science for academic excellence. In his chapter, Jeremy has served as the T-shirt chairman while also serving on a plethora of committees including philanthropy, community service, and intramural. After college, Jeremy plans on pursuing a law degree which he intends to utilize in order to get into politics. Jeremy has a passion for law as well as a drive to lead. Jeremy will be interning with The LS Group this summer.

Brent Glasgow (Beta Pi–Presbyterian ’17)
Brent, a native of Conway, South Carolina, is a rising senior at Presbyterian College, where he studies Political science with a minor in English and is the Chair of the school’s Honor Council, which presides over all instances of academic misconduct. As a member of the Beta Pi chapter, Brent has previously served as the Number IV, and currently serves the chapter as Number I. Brent has previously worked as an intern with Governor Henry McMaster’s successful 2016 gubernatorial campaign, as well as interning in the Governor’s office after his election. Brent plans to attend law school after graduating with hopes of becoming a constitutional lawyer. Brent also hopes to one day hold elected office in order to give back to the people and communities that have given him so much over the course of his life.

Arlind Ferhati (Kappa–Mercer ’17)
Arlind, originally from Roswell, Georgia, is a rising senior at Mercer University. He will graduate in December of 2020 with majors in International Relations and French, and minors in Economics and Global Development Studies. He has served the Kappa chapter as Number V, Number III, and now as Number I. Upon graduation, Arlind plans on interning or working for a law firm that focuses on immigration law until entering law school in the Fall 2021 semester.

Eli Galiano (Zeta Theta–James Madison ’16)
A native of Northern Virginia, Eli is a recent graduate of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia where he majored in Political Science and minored in Political Communication. While he was heavily involved in campus life—writing political opinion pieces for the student paper, “The Breeze” and reporting on politics for the student-run television program, “Breeze TV”, debating for the College Republican club, serving in the Student Government Association— it was his time in the Kappa Alpha Order’s Zeta Theta Chapter, where he served as co-Recruitment Chair, #8 (Risk Manager), and finally as #1 (President), that he is most fond of as he looks back on his college career. Eli is interning for Convergence Media, a political media-centered campaign consulting firm. Eli plans to have a career in Politics, Government, or in the Media.
