Howard Pickett serves as the President of the Fraternity Sorority Political Action Committee (FSPAC).  Howard’s fraternity involvement began at North Carolina State, where he was initiated in the Beta Tau chapter of Sigma Nu Fraternity.  He has served in a variety of leadership positions on both the local and national levels over the span of 45 years.  Elected to the position of Regent (National President) of Sigma Nu in 2000, he implemented the strategic planning process that resulted in expansion, bold new programs, and an organizational structure that is still in place today.  Howard also served on the North American Interfraternity Conference Board of Directors for six years, including the top post for two years as NIC Chairman 2010-2012.  Howard remains active on the local level as House Corporation President at Beta Tau Chapter of Sigma Nu at NC State.  He chairs the NC State Greek Housing Authority, working collaboratively with his Greek colleagues and university officials on the new housing village currently underway.  Howard has received recognition for his distinguished service from Sigma Nu Fraternity (Hall of Honor), Kappa Alpha Order (Accolade for Interfraternal Service), Sigma Alpha Mu (Sidney H. Guller Interfraternal Award), NIC (Gold Medal) and the Fraternity Executives Association (FEA).  Howard is president and owner of George Pickett & Associates, Inc.—an electrical sales representative firm covering the Carolinas and Virginia.
