Clayton E. Bunting, Esq.

Clayton Bunting was born on September 21, 1950, in Lewes, Delaware, and raised in Selbyville, Sussex County. He graduated with honors from Fork Union Military Academy in 1968 as Cadet Captain. He earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Richmond in 1972 and a J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1976. While in law school, he was a designated oral argument representative for the National Moot Court team and a member of the National Honor Society.

Professionally, Bunting practiced law in Delaware for more than four decades. He was a partner and is now Of Counsel at Morris James LLP. He has been named one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers in Delaware by the National Trial Lawyers Association.

His civic involvement includes serving as president of the Georgetown/Millsboro Rotary Club, where he is a Paul Harris Fellow and Rotary Foundation Benefactor. He served on the Board of Directors for the Delaware Community Foundation, was president of Sussex Pines Country Club, and is co-owner of the Rookery Golf Club in Milton. He founded the Clayton Bunting Golf Classic and has received multiple volunteer service awards from the American Red Cross.

Bunting served as Number I in 1972, was elected National Undergraduate Chairman, serving on the Executive Council. From 1976 to 1993, he served as James Ward Wood Province Commander. During that time, he served on the History Committee and contributed to the editing of the 1994 History of Kappa Alpha Order. He is a member and former Preceptor of the Wood Court of Honor. He is a multi-year member of the KAOEF’s Crimson & Gold Society.

Bunting is a member of the Gideons International, Peninsula Community Church, and the Sons of the Confederacy. He lives and his wife Debbie split their time between Marco Island, Florida, and Delaware, and they have three children, Amy Lee, Andrew Lee, Clayton, Jr.
