On Saturday, May 17, 2025, the Dunwody Province Court of Honor held an induction ceremony at the Montgomery Country Club in Montgomery, Alabama. This honors those distinguished alumni who have given their time, energy, and service to KA. This marked the fifth COH induction for Dunwody Province in as many years. Eight alumni were recognized and invested with the provincial cross of honor in recognition of their outstanding service to the Order and accomplishments which have brought honor to Kappa Alpha Order.

Following a social reception, Paul Lammers (Epsilon Alpha–South Alabama ’80), Registrar of the Court, welcomed the more than 60 attendees. Web Brittain (Alpha Beta–Alabama ’22) led the Pledge of Allegiance, and Rylan Sharpe (Delta Phi–Jacksonville State ’23) gave the invocation. Following dinner, Paul Lammers and Dunwody Province Commander Preston Pritchett (Nu–Auburn ’10) conducted the Court of Honor Induction Ceremony. National Undergraduate Chairman Carson Claytor (Alpha Beta–Alabama ’22) gave a recap on the Order’s Educational Programming. Province Commander Pritchett then thanked Sam Marsal (Gamma Zeta–Southern Mississippi ’98) for hosting the Court and presented the Dunwody Province Active Member of the Year Award to Number I Noah Pickens (Epsilon Alpha–South Alabama) before introducing Knight Commander King V. Aiken, Jr. (Kappa–Mercer ’83) who gave the State of the Order.

2025 Inductees
King began his career in restaurant franchise operations, working for Chick-fil-A, Krystal, and Schlotzky’s. He now serves as the Director of Franchise Operations for Huddle House Inc. overseeing all aspects of the operation of business development, construction, marketing, implementation, operational execution and financial reporting. King also serves on the board of directors of Parglobal a petrochemical organization based in Georgia.
King has almost 30 years of KA alumni leadership and experience. He first served as President of the Thomasville, Georgia Alumni Chapter then as the Commander of the John L. Hardeman Province. In 2008, he joined the Executive Council and was elected as Knight Commander in 2023 at the 80th Convention.
King lives in Carrolton, Georgia, with his wife, Ellen, and has four children, Sara Ellen, Sam, Andrew, and Lily.
Mike is a graduate of the University of South Alabama, and serves as a managing partner in Robertson, Andreoli & Covington in Baldwin County. He has been a successful professional for over 30 years, and remains active in his community, holding several positions of trust and advisement. Mike maintains contact with a number of Epsilon Alpha alumni locally and nationwide, and participates in Epsilon Alpha chapter events as time allows. He is a devoted family man, and is father to four, grandfather to five.
Mike embodies what a KA brother should exemplify in faith, family, fraternity and community. He is of high integrity, demonstrated in all areas of life, and meets the principles and standards as instructed by the Order. Mike’s camaraderie and consult is often sought and cherished by his fraternity brothers, family and others. To put it precisely, he is a fine KA who holds a special place in the lives of many.
Brent is the Director of Alumni Engagement. He previously served as an Associate Director for Chapter Services and Associate Director for Communications. In May of 2015 he was promoted to Director of Communications and served in that capacity until May 2024.
From Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Brent was initiated in Fall 2009, and served his chapter as Number I, III, V, and IFC Congress Delegate. He graduated in May of 2013, with a BBA in Marketing from the University of Oklahoma.
He is a 3-year member of the Crimson & Gold Society, a member of the Loyal Order, and a Forever KA participant. Brent has been inducted into the Ammen, Candler, Hamilton, Locke, Mikell (now Duncan), Smith, and Wood Courts of Honor.
Brent was elected to the board of the Fraternity Communications Association in 2020 as Director of Finance and was reelected to a second term in 2022. Additionally, he has served two terms as president of the Lexington-Rockbridge Jaycees, one term as the 87th State President of the Virginia Jaycees in 2021, as a National Vice President for JCI USA (national Jaycees) in 2022, and as Master of Mountain City Masonic Lodge No. 67 A.F. & A.M. in 2022. In November 2023, Brent was voted Volunteer of the Year as part of the Lexington-Rockbridge Chamber of Commerce’s 2023 People’s Choice Awards.
Milton was initiated in Phi Chapter at Birmingham-Southern College. During his time as an active member, he served the chapter Number II, Number III, and Number VI. Milton graduated from BSC in 1971. Following graduation, Milton attended the University of Alabama School of Law in 1974, during which time he participated in activities with the Alpha Beta chapter.
A native of Monroevilla, AL, Milton served in the US Army Reserves, including active duty before returning to Monroeville and joined his father’s law practice in 1975. He currently practices law with son Will Coxwell, a 1999 initiate of Alpha Epsilon Chapter at Rhodes College. He recently received recognition for being a member of the Alabama BAR for 50 years.
Milton is a charter member of the SW Alabama KA Alumni Chapter, which began in 1997, and has served as its secretary since its founding. He is a member of First United Methodist Church of Monroeville. Additionally, he is active in numerous community organizations and served on several boards over the years – Alabama Bar Commission, Monroe Co. Hospital board, Little League Commissioner and coach, Boy Scouts, and the library board.
Eugene Evans Jr. is a native of Skipperville, Alabama and was initiated in the Spring of 2008 into the Epsilon Alpha Chapter of Kappa Alpha Order. During his tenure he served as Number VI, demonstrating early leadership abilities, organizational skills, and a commitment to service. He later continued his studies and in 2016 graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from Columbia Southern University.
In 2013 he joined the Mobile Police Department and earned his A.P.O.S.T certification. He has built a distinguished career with the Department and continues to serve the citizens of Mobile, Alabama for over 12 years. Throughout his career, he has been recognized with numerous honors, including three Excellence Police Duty Awards, the Chief’s Award, and Investigator of the Month distinctions from both the Mobile District Attorney’s Office and the Mobile Police Department. He currently holds the rank of Sergeant and serves in the Field Operations East Division, where his leadership and dedication to public safety continue to make a meaningful impact.
Outside of his professional duties, He is a devoted husband to Ashley Evans and a proud father to their two children, Addie and Shep. His favorite hobbies include Overlanding in his Jeep, video gaming, Coaching his son’s T-ball team, and supporting his daughter’s cheering. Eugene Evans Jr. exemplifies the values of service, integrity, and dedication—both in his career and in his personal life.
John H. Leech, Jr. is a native of Mobile and attended Rhodes College where he studied political science and played on the football team. He then transferred to the University of South Alabama where he continued his football career. During his time at USA, John was president of his fraternity, Greek Man of the Year, Secretary/Treasurer of the Order of Omega, a recipient of the Excellence in Political Science Award, named to multiple Dean’s Lists, and was named to the Sun Belt Conference Commissioner’s List. He graduated in 2011 from the University of South Alabama with a B.A. in political science, cum laude.
John then attended Louisiana State University on a Chancellor Scholar Scholarship. During his time at LSU Law Center, John was a member of the Public Interest Law Society (PILS), and dedicated much of his time to an organization called StreetLaw that spent time at local schools discussing and educating students about the law. John competed in the Ira S. Flory Trial Competition, the Tullis Moot Court Competition, and an Opening Statement Competition. He was a Junior Editor for the Journal of Civil Law Studies, in which he published an article. John interned and externed for various organizations throughout law school, including the United States District Court, Southern District of Alabama and the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office. In May of 2014 John graduated LSU Law Center with a Juris Doctorate and Graduate Degree in Comparative Law.
After graduating law school from LSU in 2014, John was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in September of 2014. He is also a member of the Mobile Bar Association, the Baldwin County Bar Association, the Mobile Young Lawyers (and served as president in 2023), and the Alabama Association for Justice. John volunteers his time with the Mobile Young Lawyers in planning various fundraisers and also with the South Alabama Volunteer Lawyers Program. John has been recognized by The National Trial Lawyers and the American Institute of Trial Lawyers as a Top 40 Under 40 lawyer, and was a finalist for a Nappie Award as one of the best plaintiff lawyers in Mobile, Alabama in 2017.
John currently resides in Mobile with his wife, Arika, and their children where they are members of Christ United Methodist Church.
Raymond has served on the Delta Phi chapter’s Housing Corporation board for 20 years. He has led many fundraising efforts for the upkeep of the house and is a tremendous coach and mentor to the chapter. He has been tireless in his dedication to the members of Delta Phi and dedicated a lot of his time while serving in his professional role. Raymond is a true and dedicated brother.
A graduate of Jacksonville State University, Raymond went on to acquire his law degree and now serves as an attorney in Birmingham. He often will accepts work outside the normal duties of his profession to support those in need. A truly dedicated individual to JSU and our KA brothers.
Brian is originally from Enterprise, Alabama. He is a first-generation college student and chose to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering. While a student at the University of South Alabama he became a member of Kappa Alpha Order’s Epsilon Alpha Chapter. In his time at South, he served his chapter as the Number VI, Number III, Number II, and Number I.
Upon graduation, Brian entered the workforce where he has been exceedingly successful. He started his career as a mechanical engineer with Mirant Corporation (a spin off from the Southern Company). After Mirant, he joined Hargrove Engineers & Constructors where he has moved through roles in engineering, project manager, department manager, operations manager, regional operations vice president to his current role of Vice President, Business Development Strategy. Brian is a licensed mechanical engineer and holds licenses in 18 states plus the US Virgin Islands.
Brian is married to his junior high school sweetheart, Jennifer, and they have two children. Their son, Auston, will be a freshman at Rhodes College in the Fall and hopefully one of our newest brothers. Their daughter, Lauren, is a superb dancer and will be a high school sophomore in the Fall. Brian continues to serve the Epsilon Alpha Chapter as a member of their Housing Corporation and he is a member of the Epsilon Alpha Traveler Alumni Chapter.
