The Epsilon Zeta Chapter at Arkansas Tech University was recognized for its excellence during the university’s 2025 awards season, receiving both individual and chapter-level honors.
Peyton Henderson (Epsilon Zeta–Arkansas Tech ’23), a spring 2024 graduate and member of the chapter, earned the John E. Tucker Scholar-Athlete of the Year award during the 2025 Evening of Excellence reception held on April 20. This is the highest individual student-athlete honor presented by Arkansas Tech. Candidates are nominated by the athletic coaching staff, and final selection is made by the University Athletics Committee, composed of faculty voting members. The award recognizes outstanding academic performance, athletic achievement, and leadership.
Henderson was also named the Wonder Boy Award recipient for the Arkansas Tech football program. According to the university, this award is presented to the student-athlete who “best exemplifies what it means to be a Wonder Boy,” highlighting leadership, character, and contributions to team culture. It is regarded as one of the most meaningful honors within the football program. It is uncommon for one student-athlete to receive both the John E. Tucker and Wonder Boy awards in the same year.
In addition to Henderson’s individual accolades, the Epsilon Zeta Chapter was recognized as Most Improved Greek Chapter at the 2025 Greek Awards. This distinction reflects the chapter’s progress in areas such as recruitment, academics, leadership development, and campus involvement.
