Jeff Knox (Gamma–Georgia ’81), a Georgia Golf Hall of Famer and one of amateur golf’s most respected figures, captured the title at the 2025 Jones Cup Senior Invitational, held at the renowned Sea Island Golf Club.

Knox finished the 54-hole tournament at 5-under par, posting rounds of 66-67-72, and edged out Danny Nelson of Savannah, Georgia (70-70-66) by a single stroke to secure his first Jones Cup Senior title.

His performance this week at Sea Island further cements his legacy in the amateur ranks.

Hosted annually on Georgia’s coast, the Jones Cup Senior Invitational brings together many of the top senior amateur golfers from across the country. The 2025 edition once again highlighted the depth of talent from the host state—five Georgians finished in the top eight overall.

With Knox’s win, a Georgian has now claimed six of the last seven Jones Cup Senior titles.

Knox is a member of the Central Savannah River Area Alujmni Chapter, a member of the Loyal Order, and two-year member of the Kappa Alpha Order Educational Foundation’s Crimson & Gold Society. As a triple legacy, Knox has numerous KAs in his family, including his father, two uncles, a cousin, a brother, and two sons.
