On Sunday, September 14, 2025, forty-nine men at the University of Tennessee were inducted into Kappa Alpha Order as members awaiting initiation. The ceremony was held at Calhoun’s on the River.
Executive Director Larry Stanton Wiese (Gamma Omega–Midwestern State ’87) welcomed attendees and gave the opening remarks. Assistant Executive Director for Chapter Services Anthony M. Graziani (Zeta Pi–Florida Gulf Coast ’07) then spoke, followed by remarks from the university, given by Dr. Byron Hughes, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Life & Dean of Students at the University of Tennessee.
Alumni leadership of the Knoxville Area Alumni Chapter consisting of Ed Mathews (Pi–Tennessee ’90), Neal Howard (Pi–Tennessee ’74), and Gregory Lyles (Pi–Tennessee ’79) conducted the Induction Ceremony along with Anthony Graziani, KAOEF Director of Development Tanner L. Gellinger, Director of Chapter Operations Evan M. Hanna, and Strategic Growth Manager C. Andrew Sawyer.
Feller Province Commander Nicholas S. Palmer (Delta Lambda–Middle Tennessee ’04) installed the chapter officers and presented the chapter with its provisional certificate issued by Executive Director Wiese.
The Tennessee Provisional Chapter will now begin a process to complete their chartering requirements, and restore the Pi Chapter charter.
