Maryland Number I Honored with Knight Commander’s Commendation

During the 81st Convention in Roanoke, A Knight Commander’s Commendation was presented to Ahmed Ezzaki (Beta Kappa–Maryland ’22) by then Knight Commander, King V. Aiken, Jr.

Ahmed Ezzaki is a senior at the University of Maryland. He is from Easton, Maryland, and is majoring in Government and Politics with minors in Israeli Studies and Arabic. He speaks English, Spanish, and Arabic at an intermediate level.

Ahmed is the current Number I and has previously held roles such as Social Chairman, Recruitment Chairman, Vice President. His leadership has helped eliminate significant chapter debt, increase membership, and build strong ties with the university.

He is also a participant in the Global Fellows Program, reflecting his commitment to service, leadership, and national duty. Guided by values like faith, family, and hard work, Ahmed has been a servant leader across academics, athletics, and community life.

With a strong desire to serve and protect, Ahmed plans to pursue a career either as a commissioned Officer in the U.S. Military, in Federal Law Enforcement, or in Intelligence and National Security.
