On January 10, 2026, During our Number I’s Leadership Institute, the Number I’s of Kappa Alpha Order elected Carson M. Smith (Kappa–Mercer ’24) as the National Undergraduate Chairman and Michael G. “Gray” Smith (Delta Lambda–Middle Tennessee State ’24) as the National Undergraduate Vice Chairman and will both serve on the Executive Council.
Carson currently serves as Number I of Kappa Chapter at Mercer University. Prior to becoming Number I, Carson served as Number VII. On January 10, 2026, during the 2026 Number I’s Leadership Institute, the Number I’s of Kappa Alpha Order elected Carson as the National Undergraduate Chairman.
Gray currently serves as Number I of Delta Lambda Chapter at Middle Tennessee State University. Additionally, he is currently serving as T-Shirt Chair, Project Outreach Chair, and the Council of Honor Commander for this year’s officer term. Prior to becoming Number I, Gray served as Number IV. On January 10, 2026, during the 2026 Number I’s Leadership Institute, the Number I’s of Kappa Alpha Order elected Gray as the National Undergraduate Chairman.
