KAOEF Board of Trustees member and former Hardeman Province Commander Robert “Bob” Hagan (Delta Rho–Valdosta State ’74) is being honored with the Regents’ Hall of Fame Distinguished Alumni and Friends Award for a lifetime of leadership, philanthropy, and service.
As president of Sterling Healthcare Management, Bob has built and managed 32 nursing and assisted living facilities across the Southeast, employing more than 2,500 people. His service to Valdosta State University spans nearly four decades, during which he played a pivotal role in transforming Blazer basketball into the powerhouse program it is today. His efforts are recognized through the naming of the Robert W. Hagan Court in the VSU Athletic Complex.
Beyond his professional and university contributions, Bob has been a dedicated member of Rotary International, leading impactful projects in Haiti, Costa Rica, and India. His tireless efforts earned him Rotary’s highest honor: the Service Above Self Award. In addition to being a dedicated KA Volunteer, Bob is also the current Vice President and Secretary of the Roswell/North River Alumni Chapter in Fulton County, Georgia.
