The Zeta Phi Chapter at High Point University celebrated Veterans Day by honoring two Veterans during its annual breakfast event and presenting them with life-changing mobility devices.
Partnering with the Independence Fund, the Zeta Phi Chapter contributed more than $120,000 this year, funding three advanced mobility devices for deserving Veterans:
-
Veteran Tyler N., who served six years in the U.S. Army before a spinal injury left him paralyzed, received an all-terrain trackchair that will allow him to reconnect with nature and pursue his love for fishing, hunting, and shooting.
-
Veteran Jose A., a 22-year U.S. Army Veteran living with a traumatic brain injury and degenerative disc disease, received an accessible recumbent bike to help him stay active and healthy.
-
Veteran Tim H., who also served 22 years in the Army and sustained a traumatic brain injury and spinal damage in combat, received an all-terrain trackchair to restore his independence and mobility.
These remarkable gifts embody gratitude, empowerment, and hope, helping America’s heroes rediscover the freedom they so selflessly fought to protect.
