Recruitment Resources

Recruitment is the lifeblood of KA. Without adding new members to our brotherhood, our chapters and the Order would eventually cease to exist. Remember, recruitment is not for just a few weeks, but throughout the year, and every member should be involved in the process. The following resources will help you have a successful recruitment.

Resources

Develop a written chapter recruitment plan
In addition to a rush schedule, a well-developed recruitment plan includes an outline of the committee structure, recruitment goals, marketing plan, etc. Success in recruitment is greatly impacted by your chapter’s planning and organization. Download the Template.

Create a ChapterBuilder account
ChapterBuilder is a technology that enables chapters to better manage their recruitment efforts by focusing on relationships and communication with potential members. KA has purchased a full ChapterBuilder subscription for all chapters beginning July 1, 2018. Set up your ChapterBuilder account. Contact Cooper Carroll at (540) 463-1865 if you have any questions regarding getting your account established.

Request Guidance or Training
The National Administrative Office offers recruitment training for your entire chapter and weekly or monthly coaching calls. Weekly and monthly coaching calls provide ongoing feedback and guidance to your recruitment committee. Recruitment workshops provide recruitment training and best practices to your entire chapter prior to recruitment. Contact Cooper Carroll at (540) 463-1865 for more details.

Ask for recommendations
Send an email to your alumni, parents and other student organizations asking if they know of any men attending your school this fall that would make great KA’s. If you do not have an alumni list, contact your ADCS/ADCD and they can provide it to you. Alumni recommendation form.

Contact My ADCS – Your Associate Director for Chapter Services is your go-to person. They work for the National Administrative Office and are there to help you through issues and improve your chapter.
