Georgia Southern IFC President Named Student Organization Leader of the Year

Rob Headley (Delta Theta–Georgia Southern ’23) was honored with the Student Organization Leader of the Year award at Georgia Southern University’s 2025 Eagle Excellence Awards Ceremony, held April 22 on the Statesboro Campus.

The prestigious award recognizes Headley’s outstanding service and leadership as President of the Interfraternity Council (IFC) during the 2024–2025 academic year. In this role, he played a central part in advancing fraternity life, fostering collaboration among Greek organizations, and engaging the broader student body in meaningful ways.

In addition to his IFC service, Brother Headley served the Delta Theta Chapter as Number VIII (Sergeant-at-Arms), upholding the Order’s standards of discipline and conduct while contributing to chapter operations and member development.

The Student Organization Leader of the Year award is presented annually to a student who demonstrates exceptional leadership, embodies the values of their organization, and positively impacts student life on campus. Headley’s leadership within both the IFC and Kappa Alpha Order exemplifies these qualities.

The Eagle Excellence Awards, hosted by Georgia Southern’s Division of Student Affairs, celebrate individuals and organizations that make significant contributions to the university and surrounding communities. The 2025 ceremony continued this tradition, spotlighting students whose commitment to service and excellence elevates campus life.

Delta Theta Chapter celebrated the honor on social media, stating, “Congratulations Rob on such a remarkable award! Onward and upward!”
