Delta State Alumnus Elected to Mississippi Young Bankers Executive Council

J. Marshall Fratesi (Delta Beta–Delta State ’08) was recently elected to the Executive Council of the Mississippi Young Bankers (MYB), a section of the Mississippi Bankers Association, during its convention in March. Fratesi currently serves as city president for Bank of Oxford, a branch of First National Bank of Clarksdale.

The purpose of the Mississippi Young Bankers section of the MBA is education – educating Mississippians on how to effectively manage money, and the continuing education of young bankers. MYB activities also give bankers an opportunity to network.

Fratesi earned a degree in accounting from Delta State University and an MBA from the University of Mississippi. He is a graduate of the Mississippi School of Banking and the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. Also, he was a member of the Leadership Lafayette Class of 2014. Fratesi has been actively involved with MYB since 2016.

Fratesi and his wife, Abbey,  recently welcomed their son, Russ, to their family.

As an undergraduate, Fratesi served as Number I and Number IX. He is currently serving as an advisor for the Alpha Upsilon Chapter at the University of Mississippi.
