Texas A&M-Commerce Alumnus Wins Teacher of the Year

Coach Trevor Norris (Gamma Upsilon–Texas A&M-Commerce ’08), of Ouida Baley Middle School, was honored for being his campus’ 2023 Teacher of the Year!

“Coach Norris inspires students and athletes to reach their full potential He is a positive example for many students to look up to,” a recent Facebook post by Royse City ISD read.

Coach Trevor Norris has 11 years of teaching experience, all in Royse City ISD. He was named Ouida Baley Middle School Teacher of the Year in 2023. As Baley Middle School Boys Athletic Coordinator he works with 6-8th grade student athletes. He was also chosen as an influential educator in 2022 by a graduating senior of Royse City High School. When asked about Coach Norris, his athletes shared that he is a great role model that guides them in athletics and in life. He pushes student athletes to reach goals while encouraging them to never give up.
